4” OD x 1-1/4” Bore Ball Bearing Rub Collar — Weight Relieved

The AC117 is a ball bearing rub collar — 4-inch outer diameter, 1-1/4-inch bore, weight-relieved design — for 1-1/4-inch bore shaper spindles. At 4 inches OD, this is a large-diameter collar; the weight-relieved construction removes material from the collar body to reduce the rotating mass and centrifugal forces generated at large diameters and higher spindle speeds. This matters in long production runs where an unrelieved heavy collar at full speed would generate more heat and bearing wear than a weight-relieved version. The 4-inch OD is used with the largest-diameter Pro-Line cutter stacks in wide raised panel and large-scale moulding applications. Ball bearing design maintains a stationary guide surface.
