6″ x 6″ Insert Surfacing Head — 6-Wing, Hydro-Lock Bore

The IN663H is the hydro-lock version of the 6 in. six-wing surfacing head with a 6 in. cutting length for smooth, high-feed surfacing of wide solid stock on large production moulders and planers. Its hydraulic hydro-lock bore clamps evenly around the spindle, holding the head to very low runout and allowing quick, repeatable mounting and removal. Six wings carry four-sided solid carbide inserts in a staggered spiral pattern that shears cleanly across the full width for a line-free finish, with 30 effective cutting teeth; the denser six-wing edge spacing keeps each bite light for surface quality, and the precise hydro-lock mount helps sustain that finish under production feed. The aircraft-aluminum body reduces weight, noise, and horsepower draw, and inserts index to fresh edges or replace on or off the machine with no grinding. Specify bore size when ordering.
