Rick joined the company in 2009 with a background in business administration and engineering. He oversees shop production and tool design, buys the new equipment, and keeps in close contact with customers in the area.

The son of a cabinetmaker, Joe learned early what good tooling is worth. He ran his own cabinetmaking and contracting business before joining Schmidt, and that mix of designing tools, running machines and working with customers is what makes his recommendations land. Jay Oliva
With a background in home remodeling and custom woodworking, Jay is a natural with customer inquiries and orders. He handles both stock and custom work, oversees purchasing and inventory, and will do what it takes when a job needs special handling. Straight to the point, accurate and helpful.
James Mirarchi
James is where a custom tool actually begins. Send a profile drawing, a photograph, or a sample of the moulding you need to match, and he turns it into the drawings and CNC programs the shop grinds from. Getting that geometry right is the difference between a tool that fits your machine and one that cuts the shape you asked for.
