Cabinet door production lives and dies on the stile and rail joint, and this S-Alloy tipped set gives a shaper-equipped shop the full system: five 4″ diameter, 3-wing cutters plus one spacer, all on a 1-1/4″ bore. The set profiles stiles and rails from 3/4″ up to 1-1/8″ thick, cutting a 9/32″ radius detail with a 1/4″ tongue; it does not trim the tongue, preserving full panel-groove depth. S-Alloy tips take a keener edge than carbide and resharpen readily, a practical advantage for shops cutting mostly clean domestic hardwoods — the same geometry is available carbide tipped as WC215C, and with eased edges as WC215EE. Cutters are made for counterclockwise or clockwise rotation with the wood face up or face down, so specify rotation and orientation when ordering. Add bearing AC113 for pattern shaping of curved doors. From one investment, a shop gets matched cope and pattern geometry that produces tight, square-shouldered door joints run after run.
