5mm x 57mm Carbide Tipped Boring Bit — Brad Point, Left-Hand

The BBP055L is a carbide tipped boring bit — 5mm diameter, 57mm overall length, brad point tip — in left-hand rotation. Brad point boring bits have a centered spur tip that locates precisely on the panel surface before the outer cutting edges begin cutting, producing a cleaner, more precisely centered hole entry than a 60-degree point bit. This makes the BBP series preferable over the 60-degree BBT series when hole placement precision and face layer quality are critical — hardwood veneer panels, solid wood components, and applications where hole-to-edge or hole-to-hole tolerance is tight.
