Schmidt Base Moulding & Stop Profile Knife — DY157

The Schmidt DY157 is a finished M2 high-speed steel base moulding and stop profile knife ground to 1-7/8″ H × 2″ W × 5/16″ thick. Base moulding and stop profiles cover the largest category of interior trim applications — wall base at floor level, door stop moulding in door frames, window stops, and related flat-field or simple-curved trim stock. The DY157 produces a 1-7/8-inch tall profile at 2 inches wide, proportioned for standard residential and light commercial trim dimensions. Multiple profiles in the Schmidt base moulding series share similar dimensions; verify the specific profile geometry from the Schmidt catalog to ensure the DY157 matches the required moulding cross-section for the job. Available in Corrugated 60° back for 60° corrugated moulder heads and in Williams & Hussey back format. Finished, ground M2 HSS — mounts in the head ready to run on pine, poplar, oak, and standard trim stock.
