The Schmidt WM74 is a finished M2 high-speed steel bed moulding profile knife ground to 2-1/4″ H × 1-3/4″ W × 5/16″ thick. Bed moulding fills the angle between a wall and ceiling or between crown cornice components — a profile characterized by a curved transition, often an ogee or compound S-curve, that covers the gap and bridges the two planes cleanly. At 2-1/4 inches of profile height, the WM74 knife produces a substantial bed moulding appropriate for traditional and transitional interior trim packages, cornice assemblies, and built-up architectural millwork. Available in Corrugated 60° back for 60° corrugated moulder heads and in Williams & Hussey back format for W&H moulder and matcher machines. The finished, ground M2 HSS knife installs directly in the head — no additional setup grinding required — and maintains consistent profile geometry across production runs in softwood and hardwood moulding stock.
