Beveled-Edge Steel Bar — 25″ M2 HSS

Beveled-edge bars carry a ground bevel on the back face instead of corrugated serrations, for shaper and moulder heads that retain knives with wedge, gib, or bevel-back clamping. Each 25-inch bar is cut to knife length in-shop and ground to the moulding or profiling geometry on a surface grinder, so one bar size covers any profile that fits its width.

All bars in this line are M2 molybdenum high-speed steel — tougher and more abrasion-resistant than T1, suited to demanding profiles and harder species. Choose the thickness to match the head’s knife-slot specification (1/4″, 5/16″, or 3/8″) and the width (knife height) that covers your profile depth, from 3/4″ up to 3″. Confirm the head accepts beveled-back stock at that thickness before ordering.
