ER40 Precision Collet — 11/16″

The Schmidt TE042401116 is a precision ER40 collet for 11/16-inch shank router bits and CNC tooling. ER-style collets clamp tool shanks through radial compression as the collet nut draws the collet into the taper bore of the tool holder. Each collet accepts a small range of shank diameters — not just the nominal listed size — with the spring-steel collet wall flexing to grip shanks within the collet’s acceptance range. Accepts shanks in the range .648 – .687″. This ER40 collet fits the ER40 collet chuck. ER40 handles large-diameter shanks through 1 inch, used in heavy-duty CNC machining centers and large-format router spindles. Precision-ground to close runout tolerances for accurate, repeatable tool clamping. Replace collets that show wear, deformation, or loss of spring tension; a worn collet increases tool runout and reduces surface quality and tool life.
