Cuts the center groove that closes a stile-and-rail door frame, sized to run inside the Eased Edge version of Freeborn’s 10 and 50 series cope & pattern sets. The four-piece split design carries shims between the cutters, so one set adjusts the groove anywhere from 3/16″ up to just under 3/8″ instead of a separate groover per width — and the split also lets you dial out spindle-alignment error a fixed groover would drive straight into the joint. This set runs a 1/2″ groove depth; because that is deeper than Freeborn’s standard 3/8″, the diameters no longer match the profile cutters, the tongue-and-groove option is not available at this depth, and you fence-adjust between cuts. Profile cutters are not included; the set substitutes for the standard tongue-and-groove groover in a cope & pattern set you already run. Pro-Line build: 3-wing, 1-1/4″ bore, 4″ diameter, counterclockwise, in carbide or T-Alloy. Hold a consistent 1/2″ center groove across a production run without re-shimming between parts.
