Door Edge Detail Top Cutter — Profile 157, 7/8″–1″ Material, Pro-Line (1-1/4″ Bore)

Cuts the top half of a door edge detail for the 32mm hinge system in 7/8″ to 1″ material — the heavier of Freeborn’s two top cutter blocks; for 3/4″ to 7/8″ stock use the 101–116 range. Profile 157 is Freeborn’s own reference for the shape; the drawing is the specification, and the wood samples are shown actual size for exactly that reason. Any top cutter nests and runs with any bottom cutter, so choose the top for the look and the bottom for where the hinge hole is bored. The part number covers the top cutter only. 15° shear for optimum cuts with and across the grain; counterclockwise, wood fed face up. Pro-Line: 3 wing, 1-1/4″ bore, 3-1/16″ minor diameter — the major varies with depth of cut. Carbide or T-Alloy. Opposite rotation adds 20% to list. Mini-Pro equivalent: MC-57-157 (2-1/16″ minor).
