Door Edge Detail Bottom Cutter — Profile 181 (NOT for 32mm Hinge System), Pro-Line (1-1/4″ Bore)

Cuts the bottom half of a door edge detail with a deep 0.200″ inset — the aggressive sweep in Freeborn’s bottom cutter range, and the reason it carries a restriction. ⚠️ It will NOT run with the 32mm hinge system: a European cup hinge needs a 35mm hole bored only 3–6mm in from the raw edge, and at 0.200″ this profile cuts far enough into the bottom corner to breach the wall of that cup hole. Boring 32mm and running 181 will compromise the hinge pocket. Where it does belong is everywhere a 32mm cup is not going: the meeting stiles of double doors, dummy and fixed panels, and cabinetry hung on traditional butt or pivot hinges — there the deeper inset is the point, not a problem. It is fully part of the modular family: same 3-1/16″ minor diameter and height geometry as every top cutter, so it nests and stacks with any of them on the same spindle. If you are boring 32mm, use 182, 184 or 185 instead — they hold to a safe 0.100″ inset. 15° shear, counterclockwise, wood fed face up; the major diameter varies with depth of cut. Carbide or T-Alloy. Opposite rotation adds 20% to list. Mini-Pro equivalent: MC-57-181 (2-1/16″ minor).
