Cuts the contoured top profile of a stair handrail — profile 050 in Freeborn’s handrail range, shaping the grip surface that decides how a finished rail feels in the hand and how it reads along a balustrade. Each profile is supplied as a two-piece set, so the pair carries the full rail section in one setup rather than building it up from separate passes. Profile 050 produces a rail 2-1/4″ wide by 2-3/8″ tall. The other size in the range, profile 051, gives a wider 2-3/4″ section at the same height — choose the profile number that matches the rail you are running rather than ordering both. Pro-Line only: 1-1/4″ bore, 5-1/4″ diameter, three wings, carbide or T-Alloy, counter-clockwise. At 5-1/4″ this is the larger of the two handrail bodies, so check the spindle’s speed rating and guard opening before mounting it. Match the profile number to the catalog drawing to confirm the rail section before ordering.
