The IRM30 is a multiprofile router head — 2-1/4 in. diameter with a 30mm cutting width and a solid 3/4 in. shank for routing operations. It runs the same 3/8 in. profile backerplates and replaceable carbide inserts as Schmidt’s multiprofile cutter heads, so the same profile library carries straight over to a router table or hand router. That makes it an efficient way to put insert-and-backer tooling to work in a routing setup: swap the backer to change the profile, index or replace the carbide insert when it dulls — no regrinding. The 30mm cutting width suits narrower profiles and edge details. Order the profile backers and inserts separately.
