Schmidt Insert Backer — Profile 235

The profile 235 backer is the profile-carrying element of the Schmidt multiprofile system: it seats in a multiprofile head or head blank and holds the matching profile 235 carbide insert at the correct rake and radial position for the 1/2″ parting strip profile in the window sash range. Because the profile lives in the backer-and-insert pair rather than in a dedicated cutter, a shop changes profiles by swapping backers on a head it already owns — no new arbor, no regrind.
