Steel Filler Bar 25″ × 13/16″ × 5/16″

The CB4106 is a 24-inch corrugated-back steel filler bar, 13/16 wide and 5/16 thick. Filler bars occupy unused knife slots in corrugated-back moulding and planing heads when fewer than the full complement of knives is installed — maintaining head balance and preventing vibration caused by uneven mass distribution around the head. Running a head with empty slots causes imbalance at operating speed; filler bars match the weight and geometry of the knife positions they replace, keeping the head in dynamic balance. The 60° corrugated back seats in the head’s corrugated slots the same way as a knife bar. No cutting edge — filler bars are non-cutting balance weights, not knife stock. Confirm the head slot accepts 5/16-thick filler bars at 13/16 bar height.
