Surfacing & Tenon Heads

Insert surfacing and tenon heads machined from aircraft aluminum — four-sided solid carbide inserts in a staggered pattern cut noise and horsepower draw, and the cutting diameter never changes, so an insert change means no re-setup. Surfacing heads run 4" to 6" diameters with straight or Hydro-Lock bores.

Tenon heads are built for any single- or double-end tenoner with 2", 3", or 4" cutting edges, and we stock replacement heads, tenon knives, spurs, cope heads, and cope knives for the Powermatic 2-A single-end tenoner. Insert profiling heads come in five standard widths on a 1-1/4" bore — use bearing AC117 for pattern shaping.
