The IN650 surfaces and dresses solid wood on moulders and planers where a compact 4 in. diameter head suits the spindle and a 4 in. cutting length covers narrow face and edge passes. The body is machined from aircraft aluminum, so it runs lighter, quieter, and on less horsepower than a steel head. Six wings carry four-sided solid carbide inserts set in a staggered, spiral pattern that shears the grain and, on most machines, leaves a line-free finish; the effective number of cutting teeth is 24 (half the wing count in play). Inserts index to a fresh edge or replace on or off the machine — no grinding, no knives sent out. Because the cutting diameter stays constant as inserts are rotated, setup between changes is minimal, and the reduced cutting pressure lets feed speeds run higher. Specify bore size when ordering.
