4 in. OD x 4 in. CB Knife Head, 2-Pocket, 23° Hook, 1-1/4 in. Bore — Williams & Hussey

The WH404 is a 4 in. OD, 4 in. cut length, 1-1/4 in. bore, 2-pocket corrugated back knife head with 23° hook angle, designed as a replacement head for Williams & Hussey moulding planers that use 4 in. OD cutter heads. The Williams & Hussey moulder is a popular benchtop and light production moulding machine in small millwork shops and custom furniture operations — the WH404 provides a replacement head when the original wears or when the shop needs an additional head body to reduce changeover time by pre-loading knives. The 23° hook angle matches the Williams & Hussey head specification and provides efficient chip clearance for the mixed-species and hardwood moulding that W&H machines are commonly used for. Corrugated back knife retention locks straight-back profile knives in the two seat pockets. The WH406 is the 6 in. CEL version for taller profiles. The WH404H and WH404M are heavier-duty versions with 4-13/16 in. OD for 1-1/2 in. bore or 40mm bore spindles. Profile knives sold separately.
