The IN659 brings a 6 in. cutting diameter to face and dress solid stock on large production moulders and planers, with a 4 in. cutting length for narrower passes and edge work. The larger diameter carries more inserts through the cut and holds its finish under heavy feed, while the aircraft-aluminum body keeps the big head light, quiet, and easy on horsepower. Four wings hold four-sided solid carbide inserts in a staggered spiral pattern that shears the grain for a clean face, with 16 effective cutting teeth; the open four-wing layout clears chips well for aggressive stock removal. Inserts index to a fresh edge or replace on or off the machine — no grinding, no regrind cycle. A constant cutting diameter keeps setup minimal between indexes. Specify bore size when ordering; also offered with a hydro-lock bore as IN659H.
