6″ x 4″ Insert Surfacing Head — 6-Wing, Hydro-Lock Bore

The IN662H is the hydro-lock version of the 6 in. six-wing surfacing head with a 4 in. cutting length, pairing a fine six-wing finish with the precision of a hydraulic mount on large production moulders and planers. The hydro-lock bore clamps the head evenly to the spindle for very low runout and fast, repeatable changes. Six wings carry four-sided solid carbide inserts in a staggered spiral pattern that shears the grain for a line-free face, with 24 effective cutting teeth; the extra edges over the four-wing IN659H keep each insert’s bite light for finish and feed, and the low-runout hydro-lock mount reinforces that finish. The aircraft-aluminum body keeps weight, noise, and horsepower draw down, and inserts index to fresh edges or replace on or off the machine with no grinding. Specify bore size when ordering.
