6″ x 9″ Insert Surfacing Head — 4-Wing, Hydro-Lock Bore

The IN661H is the hydro-lock version of the 6 in. four-wing surfacing head with a 9 in. cutting length for facing wide boards and panels in a single pass on large production moulders and planers. The hydraulic hydro-lock bore clamps evenly around the spindle, centering a long, heavy head to very low runout and allowing quick, repeatable mounting — the runout control matters most on wide heads, where any eccentricity shows up across the whole cut. The aircraft-aluminum body keeps the head light enough to run quietly and on reasonable horsepower, and four wings hold four-sided solid carbide inserts staggered in a spiral across the full 9 in. length, shearing the grain for a clean surface with 48 effective cutting teeth. Inserts index to fresh edges or replace on the machine — no grinding. Specify bore size when ordering.
