6″ x 9″ Insert Surfacing Head — 4-Wing, Straight Bore

The IN661 faces wide boards and panels in a single pass with a 6 in. diameter and a 9 in. cutting length on large production moulders and planers. The big diameter carries the cut steadily under heavy feed, and the aircraft-aluminum body keeps a long, wide head light enough to run quietly and on reasonable horsepower. Four wings hold four-sided solid carbide inserts staggered in a spiral across the full 9 in. length, shearing the grain for a clean surface with 48 effective cutting teeth; the open four-wing layout clears chips well over the long cut for heavy removal. Inserts index to fresh edges or replace on or off the machine — no grinding, no regrinds. A constant cutting diameter keeps setup minimal as inserts rotate.
