6″ x 9″ Insert Surfacing Head — 6-Wing, Hydro-Lock Bore

The IN664H is the hydro-lock version of the 6 in. six-wing surfacing head with a 9 in. cutting length for facing wide boards and panels in one pass on large production moulders and planers. The hydraulic hydro-lock bore clamps the head evenly to the spindle, centering a long, heavy head to very low runout and allowing fast, repeatable mounting — runout control that pays off across the full width of the cut. Six wings hold four-sided solid carbide inserts staggered in a spiral across the entire 9 in. length, shearing the grain for a line-free surface with 60 effective cutting teeth; the dense edge spacing keeps each bite light for finish and feed. The aircraft-aluminum body keeps the head manageable in weight, noise, and horsepower, and inserts index to fresh edges or replace on or off the machine with no grinding.
