Corrugated-Back Knife Bar Stock — 25″

Blank corrugated-back bar stock for the most widely used knife-locking geometry in moulder and shaper head design: the 60° corrugated back interlocks with matching corrugations in the head body, holding the knife positively against radial shift. Each 25-inch bar is cut to knife length in-shop and ground to the finished moulding profile on a surface grinder.

Match the thickness to the head’s knife slot (1/4″, 5/16″, or 3/8″) and choose the width — 1-1/4″ up to 3-1/2″ — that covers your profile height. Five steel grades cover the work: T1 HSS as the reliable standard for general moulding, M2 for added toughness in harder species, M3 for finer edge retention, XLW HP for abrasive stock and long production runs, and Schmidt Super Steel at the top of the wear-life ladder. Confirm the head slot accepts the thickness and knife height before ordering.
