Door Edge Detail Bottom Cutter — Profile 185, 32mm Hinge System, Pro-Line (1-1/4″ Bore)

Cuts the bottom half of a door edge detail for the 32mm hinge system, nesting under any of Freeborn’s top cutters — the range is built so any top runs with any bottom, which means you pick the top for the look and the bottom for the hardware. Like 182 and 184, it holds to a shallow 0.100″ inset, which is what keeps it clear of the 35mm cup hole bored 3–6mm from the door edge; the deeper 0.200″ profiles (181 and 183) breach that pocket and are restricted to non-32mm work. Which of the three safe bottoms you want depends on the exact distance of your bored hinge hole from the edge, so check that against the profile drawing. Built to the same specification as every top cutter: 15° shear for clean cuts with and across the grain, counterclockwise with the wood fed face up. Pro-Line: 3 wing, 1-1/4″ bore, 3-1/16″ minor diameter — the major varies with depth of cut. Carbide or T-Alloy. Opposite rotation adds 20% to list. Mini-Pro equivalent: MC-57-185 (2-1/16″ minor).
