The IS58200 provides replacement gib screws for IS58-series 50mm rebating cutter heads — the threaded fasteners that tension each gib against the carbide insert to lock it in its seat. In gib-clamped rebating heads, the screw applies the clamping force that drives the gib wedge against the back of the insert; consistent screw torque is what holds the insert stationary under cutting load. Gib screws wear at the thread and driver recess over repeated insert changes in production and can seize or strip, at which point the head can no longer clamp its inserts reliably.
