The MH448D is a 4-13/16 in. OD, 8 in. cut length, 1-1/2 in. bore, 4-pocket dual-angle corrugated back moulder head with 12° and 20° hook angle seat positions. The 8 in. CEL at dual-angle 4-pocket construction targets industrial-scale architectural moulding operations in shops running both hardwood and softwood at very wide profile heights. The 12° seats provide the surface quality needed for dense hardwood at maximum industrial CEL; the 20° seats support efficient chip clearance for softwood production at the same head body. At 8 in. CEL with four knives, knife mass is at the industrial extreme — matched knife sets precision-ground and weight-balanced to tight tolerance, head balance confirmation, and verified safe operating speed are all non-negotiable before use. The 1-1/2 in. bore fits heavy North American industrial production spindles. The MH448DM is the 40mm metric bore version. The MH449D provides the 9 in. CEL option for maximum profile coverage.
