Terminus T1-HSS Reversible Quick-Change Planer Knife — Double-Edged, 50mm to 770mm

General surfacing and moulding of softwood and mixed species is where T1 high speed steel earns its place in a Terminus head. The 18% tungsten grade takes a keener initial edge than carbide and costs a fraction as much per knife, so a shop running varied stock can change often without watching the tooling budget. Each knife is reversible: run one edge until it dulls, flip it, and carry on — two full cutting edges before replacement, with no jointing, no setting gauges and no regrinding. The change itself is radial and tool-free; push down on the spring-loaded gib, lift the knife out, seat the replacement on the self-locating ridge, and the cutting circle returns without adjustment. Ground to the system’s 14 × 2.55 mm section and cut to length from 50 mm to 770 mm for planers, jointers and moulders running Terminus™ quick-change cutterheads. Abrasive stock, glue lines and manufactured board will pull a steel edge down early — that is where the carbide grade starts.
