4” OD x 1/2” Kerf x 1-1/4” Bore 3-Wing Carbide Straight Top Groover

The WC143 is a 3-wing carbide-tipped straight-top grooving cutter for shaper operations — 4-inch OD, 1/2-inch kerf width, and 1-1/4-inch bore. At 1/2-inch slot width, WC143 handles the heaviest standard groove applications: wide shelf dadoes in furniture cases, 1/2-inch plywood bottom panels in drawers and cabinet boxes, wide T&G flooring profiles, and loose spline joints in butcher block and edge-glued panel work. Straight-top geometry cuts a clean, square-shouldered groove bottom. The 4-inch OD keeps the tip speed manageable at standard shaper RPM for the widest single-pass cut in the 4-inch groover range.
