The IN655 carries a 9 in. cutting length on a 5 in. diameter, so it faces wide boards and panels in a single pass on mid-size moulders and planers. The aircraft-aluminum body keeps a long head light enough to run quietly and on modest horsepower. Four wings hold four-sided solid carbide inserts staggered in a spiral across the full 9 in. length, shearing the grain for a smooth surface with 48 effective cutting teeth; the four-wing spacing clears chips well over the long cut. Inserts index to fresh edges or replace right on the machine — no grinding, no regrind cycle. Because the cutting diameter does not change as inserts are rotated, setup stays minimal even on a wide head, and the reduced cutting pressure supports higher feed rates.
