The IN660 pairs a 6 in. diameter with a 6 in. cutting length to surface wider solid stock in one pass on large production moulders and planers. The generous diameter keeps a stable finish under heavy feed, and the aircraft-aluminum body holds weight, noise, and horsepower draw down. Four wings carry four-sided solid carbide inserts in a staggered spiral pattern that shears cleanly across the full width, with 20 effective cutting teeth; the four-wing spacing clears chips aggressively for heavier stock removal. Inserts rotate to fresh edges or replace right on the machine, with no grinding and no knives sent out. Because the cutting diameter stays constant as inserts are indexed, re-setup is fast, and the reduced cutting pressure supports higher feed rates. Specify bore size when ordering; also offered with a hydro-lock bore as IN660H.
