6 in. x 60mm x 1-1/2 in. Bore Flooring Insert Head, 3-Wing

The ID8240B is the 1-1/2 in. bore version of the 6 in. diameter, 3-wing IC240-series indexable flooring cutter head. The larger bore fits the heavier shaper spindles common in industrial flooring production lines and wide-bed molding machines running high-volume hardwood flooring profiles. Head body accepts IC240-series 60mm solid carbide inserts — IC240T for tongue, IC240G for groove, IC240 for standard flooring profile. Indexable insert flooring heads eliminate grinding downtime in production flooring manufacturing: worn inserts are replaced at the machine in minutes without removing the head from the spindle. The 6 in. diameter provides the depth-of-cut geometry required for producing full raised-edge tongue-and-groove profiles in a single shaper pass. Three-wing construction distributes cutting forces evenly for smooth finish on hardwood species. IC240-series inserts and IC240GIB gib are ordered separately. Confirm bore specification and spindle taper match the shaper before ordering.
