Insert Knife Head — 5″–6″ Dia × 40mm Wide, 3-Knife

The ID3540 is a dedicated 3-wing insert cutter head, 5″–6″ diameter with a 40mm insert (cutting) width, for running one fixed mid-width profile over long production runs. When the same profile is cut repeatedly — and in abrasive man-made materials — a dedicated head eliminates cutter swaps between jobs and keeps downtime low; the C4 carbide inserts index to a fresh edge with repeatable accuracy. Made to industry-standard dimensions, the inserts are readily available and outlast comparable brazed tooling many times over, and multiple edges can often be ground onto one insert. Standard bores are 30mm, 1-1/4″, 1-1/2″, 40mm, 1-13/16″, and 2-1/8″; black-oxide finish. Additional wings or hydro bores quoted on request.
