The Single Table Series is designed for applications that require the fixed bridge performance of our popular Super Duty Series, but are better served by a single table machine layout. This makes our Single Table Series the direct alternative to our Super Duty Series. These two series of machines share many of their major components: from the control, to the spindle, the electronics, the mechanical linear motion systems, the tool changer, and even many of the available options. Thus, they are both very comparably priced, and offer very similar performance and value. Single Table Series 3 and 4-Axis Fixed Bridge Machines S-SERIES What differentiates the Single Table Series from the Super Duty Series is not in its parts or components, but in its table layout. The S-Series design moves a single table in the longer direction, so the bridge need only span the shorter dimension across the width of the table. The shorter bridge has better leverage over the spindle, is more rigid, and magnifies the benefits of the fixed bridge, moving table design. This design also employs fewer moving parts than many of the other possible machine layouts, which can increase reliability and minimize potential downtime. The main advantage of the S-Series design is the three-sided unobstructed access to the table. This can be a significant material handling advantage for many applications and products. Unobstructed table access makes loading and unloading of large work pieces or tooling more convenient, and allows for the easy integration of material handling systems, transfer tables, and other automation alternatives. This design also works very well with Roller Hold Down systems for stack cutting of multiple whole sheets of material.
